I ❤ janis ❤❤❤❤
I still love my Little Girl Blue , nobody can ever take your place & you will never call Texas your home & I know why . Missing you in South Texas
My name IS Robert Hall and I approve this message.
Since the 60s - 70s, the quality of music has declined. Also, sports, movies, journalism, etc.
She had great soul in her voice.
🎧
A singer who has gone to artist's paradise. ❤❤❤😢 I WANT YOU TO KNOW ME (c)2006
Kindly please turn on the CLOSED CAPTIONS feature ON! This benefits for low hearing level people like hard of hearings. Please?

MILLIONS are hooked on opiates,we love you Janis, and that's forever
Como eu queria que tivesse legenda em português. ❤❤❤❤
Ee-mooh 🤣🤣🤣 Is it so hard to say eem-you?
Most times I listen to Janis I cry Listen to her voice when she says the woman is the mule She couldn’t bring herself to say I am the mule. It’s true she wasn’t movie star Marilyn Monroe beautiful But it’s apart to me and I think most. She didn’t feel beautiful And that’s obviously the way one feels when they don’t have children imo Anyway I think her and Kurt contain were more similar then any other artists I know other What the internet now calls EMPATHS Is how I would describe these two legendary artists I believe them both to have a social anxiety And more so maybe with Janis I don’t feel like she ever felt like she belong anywhere. She never felt accepted Except on stage Even the interviews I feel her opening up and everyone laughs at her not with her Kind of thing When the lights go out. When the party’s over It can get EVEN LONIER it’s like going from the refrigerator to sweating hot beach Hots gonna feel hotter when you’re freezing cold Anyway, her superstardom probably amplified her loneliness. Disconnected her Disassociation text book example
Janis Joplin was the greatest female singer ever.
democrat's are garbage
I have always loved you. Am 67 now.
I would of loved to see Janis in concert if she was still alive today but sadly she passed away the year I was born! 😔
These hippies dancing make Elaine look like a ballroom dancer.🙉
Was this the begining of the end ?
Drugs being the downfall of civilization ???No!!!! Oh , but wait homeless people , slums and ghettos ,hmmmmm.
I can smell them through the screen
When Melissa Etheridge quoted Janis as saying "I make love to 10 thousand people every night yet I go home alone" hit me like a punch in the mouth. Made my heart hurt for Janis. Sure hope to meet you on the other side!
They say free clothes but they were too intellectually incoherent to understand that someone used their labor to make the clothes. Liberalism is a mental illness 😂😂😂
I didn’t find him at all funny attacking people behind an emu. The guests must have been afraid of what he will do, especially Michael Parkinson. RIP 😢
She was so beautiful inside and out; I literally cried recently just thinking about her. Such a loss to the world. Such a beautiful life cut short. Definitely one of a kind.
1:33. Watch this in slow motion and you will see his eyes shape shift. No lie.
Little known that term “ Hip “ likely originally comes from US opium dens where one laid on their hip to smoke opium Another little known is that the murder of the righteous dealer named Super Spade signals the end of the Haight Ashbury to the original hippies living there
Still a funny joke jar jar in carbonite❤😊

It doesn't matter if some of their political ideals were unworkable. The important thing is youth should push boundaries. They should rebel. They should innovate. They should challenge conventional wisdom. That's their role. On a fundamental level, that's why we reproduce every 25 years or so. We should be far more concerned when youth starts espousing conservativism.
Rod realy had something there, Emu was hilarious 🤣
Interesting how her friend Peggy said that Janis “wasn’t depressed,” and “we just did it [heroin] for fun.” We later find that “if Janis wasn’t loved, it would break her,” and that she couldn’t understand why a man would leave her due to the heroin abuse (though I think she did eventually), or that because she could feel other people’s emotions so strongly, she had to numb all of those feelings with heroin. Sounds like doing it more than just “for fun” to me. She was young and had so much about the world and herself to yet understand. At the same time, she learned so many lessons and was such a powerful force while she was here.
So relevant today, Nixon came back from ‘60 and he got even, he committed felonies.
I owned a restaurant and some musicians came in to the bar and one of the handlers got talking to me and I asked him who he thought was the total package and it was Janis.
I think she was pretty
This is the best video I've watched on UA-cam today. Thanks, muchly, Jasbell✌️😉
Ah! The Grateful Dead House at: 710 Ashbury Street. Across the way was The Hells Angel's house and around the block was The Jefferson Airplane House.
To see Mama Cass react to Janis singing is such a special piece of history, two tortured souls just trying to get by in the world brought together by music. I love Janis. I so desperately wish I could've been around to experience this time. A piece of my heart will always be in the summer of love whether I was there or not <3 (no pun intended lol)
I believe LSD can aggravate mental problems. I took it long ago (I am as old as dirt now) and it caused me trouble, mostly confusion, but I do not advocate using it in general. My opinion of Timothy Leary is that although he was brilliant in some ways, he was also quite crazy!
I was the same age or a little younger than these people but I never, ever felt like running off and living like that because I didn't want to hurt my beloved parents. And eventually this "life style" turned into Charles Manson and his murdering cult. Not for me and never would be. I enjoyed the clothes and music though!!!
Hippy culture didn't lead to Charles Manson. He saw its values as something he could exploit when it came to young females and naive youth. Charles Manson was a scumbag long before hippy culture happened, and he would have continued to be one without it. Go on any video of him ranting his crackpot philosophies, and you'll find people still falling for it to this day. American history is teeming with killers. Manson was just another in a long line. There are others who've done far worse than him without ever becoming anything like as infamous. The truth is he was a convenient poster boy for those threatened by hippy ideals who wanted it destroyed completely.
@@simonsimon325 I agree. There was a fear back then that hippies were actually a communist plot. In reality it was a youthful rebellion against the stultifying blandness of middle class existence. Another motivating factor was the injustice of young men being drafted to fight and die in a pointless war. Hippies terrified the ruling class and because of that paranoia, they went to great lengths to suppress and then co-opt the movement.
Thats like saying charles manson wore shoes so shoes ruined the world. Manson just happened to be proximal to the hippies he wasnt the hippies
Another club 27 victim
As of 2023 there are at least 50 people in the "27 Club".

Frankly, reproductions are not that inherently interesting or valuable. If the item is screen-used, that’s very different.
Lots of people wishing we had music like this today. We do! Janis' music lives on.
